SPEKTRUM Opening weekend

SPEKTRUM, Bürknerstr 12, 12047 Berlin

Now that’s exciting: A brand new space focused on “art, science and community”. The rich 3-day opening program features performances by Nenad Popov, Andrea Lange and Kris Limbach, but also presentations involving the team of STATE Festival and Berlin Science Hacking. It looks like a very promising gathering space for all the small and big in and off Berlin projects that take up the challenge of bringing together science, the visual arts, hacking culture, experimental music and more, with a focus on creative research and transdisciplinarity. As publisher of Occulto I am of course very much looking forward to that.

Ela Orleans + Duchamp in Berlin

Marie-Antoinette, Holzmarktstr. 15-18, 10179 Berlin

Before or after checking SPEKTRUM you can get good live music by two talented ladies at Marie Antoinette, with a view on the Spree. My partner-in-crime DuChamp with her killer baritone guitar (and various more instruments) drones, and Polish Glasgow based Ela Orleans with her complex electronic textures that she describes as “movies for ears”. Livesets start at 9.30!
